“The Weekly” is a new video series from The New York Times that streams on Hulu. It covers recent topical news and cultural stories. A recent episode, “Yoga: Blurry Lines Easily Crossed,” is an exposé on ‘touch corrections’ by yoga teachers. While sexually inappropriate behavior is unfortunately not new to the yoga world, it’s worth watching this short episode to understand how easily lines can be crossed by teachers, even in a crowded classroom. As this episode teaches, yoga requires each of us — instructors and students alike — to be crystal clear and respectful of boundaries. (If you subscribe to the Times, you can also find it here.)
Finally, the holidays can be a time of contradictory feelings for many of us, including confusion, sadness, and other challenging emotions.
