Dear Partners, Associates and friends of GRLI

It is a much changed world from one year ago and, if anything, the heavy lifting required to make global responsibility real is more pronounced than ever. Our continued work brings new learning opportunities and fresh perspectives - e.g. striving for certainty of impact starts in dealing with the impact of uncertainty; being anchored locally helps when connecting and acting globally; it serves to take care when breaking down silos as the material needed to build bridges is scarce and precious. As always we welcome the sharing of your own learning and insights for the benefit of our collective efforts.

The work of this decade - regeneration of the natural environment which serves as the ultimate foundation to all economic and business activity - calls for fundamental reconnection to our individual and collective humanity. This realization comes at a time when opportunities for virtual collaboration and continued co-exploration abound. We see this in the encouraging number of positive responses to engaging more deeply with the GRLI and to join in our work for global responsibility in the way all of us learn, live and lead.

In this newsletter we highlight how several Deans & Directors Cohort contributors of 2020 have stepped up to join the GRLI as Associate Partners. A glance at the Events tab on our "What's Important Now" dashboard shows a full complement of virtual events ahead. Our first 2021 Deans & Directors Cohort gathering will take place 23rd and 24th of March (apply online to join). We highlight how GRLI and cohort contributors have been participating and facilitating recent Global Responsibility conversations and actions and we are pleased to introduce the Responsible Leadership Dialogues video series.

Finally we're alerting our Partners to a call for Guardian and Board nominations with more detail to follow by email in the coming days.

Warm wishes,

John North
Executive Director

GRLI Slack is Back
After prototyping Slack in 2017 with the GRLI community to help co-create that year's AGM, GRLI Slack is back.

Since we last used it to co-ordinate and collaborate, the Slack app has matured from a leading edge collaboration platform to one that has more than 10 million daily active users. We use it to build deeper relationships and support collaboration in-between AGMs and meetings for GRLI Partners and Associates.

Slack is a messaging app where we can talk, share files and work together. It also connects with tools we already use, like Zoom, Google Drive, Twitter etc. as well as 500+ other apps.

Having everything in one place will help us work together better and faster, cut down on email and improve transparency and visibility within the network. Everything you share in an open Slack channel is automatically indexed and archived, creating a searchable archive of all of our discussions. If you are a partner or associate then please join (or re-join) the GRLI Workspace.
