MHW Party >> Join us: Friday 3/17, after work until ???, at SlingFin (5th & Gilman behind Donkey & Goat.) - Help Welcome Tim Metz & Derek Mitchell to the ranks of Mountain Hardwear Alums.
Bring food and/or beverages. I'll grab a bunch of sausages at CostCo but potluck rules apply. We've gotten an RSVP from out-of-towners Mike Wallenfels and Bruce Cornell. We hope to see the rest of you!
After Party >> Or perhaps the above is the pre-party. MHW alum Rowan Jimenez's new band, Guarandinga, is playing 3/17 at Hotel Utah as the headliners with two opening acts. Your editor has seem them (and has his tickets already.) They're great!  Event tickets.
Call for Stories >> OutInUnder's Spring Newsletter is nigh! We've got some great stuff planned.
  • Some of you have promised stories inspired by Derek's story: Reba McWhorter's Green Thumb. Now's the time.
  • Your editor is having lunch with Henry Gruchacz, Dan Castner, and Kevin Smith and hopes to return with their tales of the early days of SD, TNF, etc...and of codura.
  • In process are some adventure stories from the 1950s by a co-founders of one of the very first Adventure Guiding Companies...
  • ...and, for those of you who appreciated Victor's yearly Solstice Poem, we're getting them loaded in. They're particularly resonant in dark times!
PS: Non MHW folks. We're friendly people. If you're on this list and show up with food or beverage, it's very unlikely we'll chase you away. Ask for Al Tabor if you don't recognize anyone and I'll introduce you around.
