RCREEE Addresses Sustainable Energy Transition in the Arab region during the UN SE4ALL Forum in New York

RCREEE in collaboration with UNDP hosted an expert session on 19 May, 2015, during the 2nd UN SE4ALL Forum in New York. In the last few years, Arab countries have taken a number of initiatives to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency investments. The session presented these key developments and highlighted current trends in policy and market developments. In particular, the session focused on private sector investment opportunities, highlighted developments in energy subsidy reforms and provided an update on the latest changes in the sustainable energy policy landscapes. Read more.

RCREEE Moderates a Session on the Role of Civil Society Role in Supporting Energy Efficiency Media Campaigns


RCREEE participated in organizing the 3rd celebration of the Arab Energy Efficiency Day (Arab EE Day). RCREEE co-organized the celebration under the leadership of the League of Arab states (LAS) and in close coordination with the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water, the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) and Energy Efficiency in the Construction Sector in the Mediterranean (MED-ENEC). RCREEE Holds a Training on Investment-grade Calculation, Forecasting and Analysis of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Projects


Capacity development in the Arab region needs both technical and financial knowledge to ensure the cost effective planning of future sustainable development projects. In this context, RCREEE in cooperation with the GIZ, the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy and NREA organized a three-day intensive training course from 12 to 15 May 2015 in Cairo, on dynamic investment-grade calculation, forecasting and feasibility analysis of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency projects in the Arab countries.
