Hello – and welcome back after the summer!
 
As you might have already noticed in the upper header, we have a new logo made by Identa. We hope you like it and now it will guide you to easily recognise our events.

BEC NEW PARTNERS
International companies with a number of foreign employees can benefit from the priority services package created for the BEC partners. Employers take advantage of our priority services to keep their employees happy and to take of some burden from their human resources team.The BEC partner’s employees has been enjoying extra care from the BEC team for the period of 6 months. Then the package is adapted according to their future needs. Companies also take advantage of promotion through all the BEC communication channels & live events and have the opportunity to influence the BEC focus in scheduling event formats, venues and topics. BEC REFERRAL PROGRAMME
has been created to connect expats with local service providers who are capable to communicate in foreign languages and understand well the needs of foreign clients. All the organisations participating in the programme are known to us and have met our list of criteria. We are in frequent contact with their representatives and welcome your feedback on their services. members of BEC Referral Programme. If you have any recommendations for service providers you were happy with please share it with us. Or tell them to join the programme and find new customers. Tips for other events

FREE  CZECH LANGUAGE COURSES  for non-EU residents The South-Moravian Integration Centre launches new courses of the Czech language and computer courses which are accessible free of charge. Most of them start this week, 4 – 6 September. More information and schedule is displayed on their website. There are also Czech courses taking place outside Brno, so feel free to enquire.

CREATIVE FRIDAYS FOR CHILDREN – a chance for parents to relax while your kids play 
Fridays, 9-12 am, Loučka Family Centre, Husova 8
Art workshop and family centre for children and parents, handicrafts with an English-speaking tutor.

PUB QUIZZES AT CLUBWASH
Thursdays
, 7 pm, Clubwash, Stará 27
The actual Pub Quiz season starts the third week of September and ends the second week of December.  There will be 2 weeks of warm-ups so you can compose a new team or wake up your old team buddies. From the third week of September the season rounds will start.

PÁLAVA WINE HARVEST FESTIVAL – celebrate our wine region in a beautiful town full of music
Saturday 8 September, Mikulov
You can buy an entrance ticket including a special train which will take you there at 9:40 and back at 18:45 or midnight at the Tourist Information Centre for a total price of CZK 420,-. You can find the detailed programme here.

ENGLISH-LANGUAGE CHURCH SERVICE
Sunday 9 September, 6pm, Czechoslovak Hussite Church, Nové Sady 32a
The regular monthly English-language service  is led by the Anglican Chaplain in the Czech Republic, Rev'd Ricky Yates, in a friendly atmosphere and a welcoming venue. More details, including a location map & public transport details can be found on the Anglican Church website. Please do have a look at the map before attending the service as the church is a little tricky to find. However, you don't have to be Anglican in order to attend - everybody will be most welcome.

ENGLISH STAND-UP COMEDY with John Simmit & Stephen Carlin
Wednesday, 12 September, 8pm; Clubwash, Stará 27
Celebrate the first anniversary of English Comedy in Brno with the man who plays DIPSY in the Teletubbies. Don't bring your kids though. This is not for children!

OPEN MIC JAM SESSION
Saturday, 15 September; Clubwash, Stará 27
This season will start our Open Mic Jam Sessions. Everybody can join in and play along. Instruments available on site, feel free to bring your own instrument. Jam Sessions may start already on Saturday 15th September. Keep an eye on the website.

FLEA MARKET AT FLÉDA 
Sunday, 16 September, 3pm; Fléda, Štefánikova 24
Do you have things that you feel sorry to throw out? Come and replace them, sell them at the flea market and make yourself happy with something new.
