Love is a flame which burns in one’s eyes, love is a sea of tears one must cry…This story of a poet who is seeking his feminine ideal carries the subheading opéra fantastique, and the only real parts are the prologue and epilogue where the poet Hoffmann entertains the guests at a public house. Nobody knows whether his stories are true, or if the poet's escaping into a world of bizarre fantasy.

5th Anishort Festival – Best Short Animated Films

Over 1800 films from more than 100 countries were submitted for this year’s edition and the twenty best will be screened for your pleasure. Four-minute films on average without dialogue are diverse both in their themes and genres, introducing various animation techniques and processing to the viewers. 
Ondřej Sekora - Ant's and other works

Ondřej Sekora was an important Czech writer and illustrator of children's books. He also left a well-marked footprint in the history of Czech journalism, sport, theatre, AV media or comics. The extensive exhibition the Moravian Museum has prepared on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Sekora’s birth reflects all his main genres and shows the variety of his creation. 
Inca Gold exhibition

Over 2,000 m2 of an exhibition that shows the entire history of settlement in the Americas. Visitors can see dozens of real gold exhibits lent to the Czech Republic by the Peruvian government. All in an entertaining and adventurous format that pulls visitors in. 
Fall of the Iron Curtain's 30th anniversary Exhibition
until 3 May, Brno Technical Museum, Purkyňova 105
To commemorate the upcoming 30th anniversary of the fall of the iron curtain, Brno technical museum has prepared an exhibition that introduces the weaponry and equipment used by the border police units and various ways and means used to break through the borders of former Czechoslovakia. Now you can learn more about this important event in Czech history from another perspective.
