Tourist Information Centre
Authentic, subjective, harsh and definitely not official. A new edition of the popular guide is out now to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the republic. It compares the opinions and visions of today's Brno personalities to their counterparts from the 1920s. Also in English. You can buy it at the Tourist Information Centre.

Crafts, vinyl, collection items, hobbies, fashion - all of that can be found at the monthly flea market at Alfa Pasáž in the centre. 
"A proč?" Book club for kids

During their next weekly meeting, the club will read a beautiful story about a lion of the colour of the snow who helps a little girl to find the courage which is inside here.

A multi-genre stage poem about the Czech national hero Ema Destinn. A musical theatre in the co-production of ProART Company (CZ) and Tanzkompanie Golde G. (DE), performed in Czech and German.
Open Evening for UK Nationals

Ice skating and Winter Ball

Not only a ball but also ice skating in period clothing. That's the annual February event organised by the 'Jane Austen club' - an informal evening with English country dances and a historical theme. Period attire is welcome, but if you are not able to get one, don’t worry and come anyway. The atmosphere at the ball is friendly and relaxed and fellow dancers will always help you fit in and enjoy the dancing, however inexperienced you may be.
Feminist Avant-garde/Art of the '70s
March - April, various venues
The Brno House of Arts presents this international collective exhibition that started its journey through Europe in 2010 in Rome and continued to Madrid, Brussels, Halmstadt, Hamburg, London, Karlsruhe and Stavanger. It now has its premiere in the CR in Brno. 
The 6th annual Future Gate sci-fi film festival
6 - 10 March, NoArt - Radnicka 4, or the Observatory - Kravi Hora 2
Legends, film premieres, a serials marathon, lectures or the sci-fi themed pub quiz are waiting only for you at the NoArt Cinema (6th - 7th March) and in the Observatory (8th - 10th March). The 2019 theme is the living environment so we are going to introduce the various fates of our world. 

Jazz Fest Brno 2018
March - April, various venues
International jazz festival was established in 2002, with the goal to make jazz more popular, create more opportunities for artists to perform and to bring the international musicians together with the local scene. Tickets are already being sold - get yours before they are sold out.
