BEC monthly newsletter 01/2015

BEC wishes you a very happy New Year
May 2015 bring you days filled with love, joy, laughter, and peace. May it be a year of success and dreams come true. Be it in Brno or somewhere on the road, we hope you have a wonderful year ahead!

Reminisce with us about how the BEC grew last year, together with the number of expats in Brno. We look forward to making the city a cosmpolitan Central European hub together with you in 2015.

At the movies: Ostře sledované vlaky - man up and fight the Nazis
One of the best known Czech films beyond the country’s borders, Closely Watched Trains (Ostře sledované vlaky) have won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 1968. "Charming, amusing and undemanding movie," thinks Lee Adams.

Food corner - Do one thing well: EscoBar's burger
The bar is named after the most famous Colombian drug dealer in history. Colombian dishes? Nope. If you ignore the butchering of their theme, the bar is a fun place to be. They have a great selection of drinks and some fantastic cocktails, says Mike Fried.

Expats' voice
We are thinking of organizing an expat ball at the end of March – for internationals to taste the Czech tradition of ballroom dancing. After the last year's success of live music, professional dance show, raffle, dinner, and drinks, we want to make it even better this year. Help us choose the ball theme!
