Preston Park Wildlife Event: Thursday 2nd July Explore this green oasis in the centre of town and learn about its multitude of habitats including ponds, woodland, wildlife gardens, wildflower meadows and the oldest Elm trees in Europe! SDNP Travel Grants Apply NOW for a travel grant of up to Â£300 per school to take pupils into the beautiful South Downs between September 2015 and March 2016. Eco Uniforms Be one of the first local schools to set up an eco-uniform scheme, including recycled and Fairtrade uniforms. The Brighton & Hove Fair Trade Steering Group is piloting a project exploring how schools can benefit financially from a structured uniform re-use scheme and sourcing Fairtrade uniforms. Safe, active and sustainable travel to school More than 12,000 pupils from 36 schools in Brighton and Hove have just taken part in Walk to School Week. The School Travel Advisors supported the campaign by giving out resources, prizes and delivering assemblies.
