Thursday, April 23, at 2 p.m. What Is Organic: Brian Simon of Simon Organic Farming will teach us about community supported agriculture and organic farming.

Tuesday, April 25 at 2 p.m. Essential Oils Basics: Learn about essential oils and how they can help improve your family’s health.


 

Programs for Teens and Children

Thursday, April 23 at 3:30 p.m. Teen Community Service: Earth Day Terracycle Project. Help us kick-off our snack bag upcycling project by decorating a collection box and creating signs.

Thursday, April 23 at 6:45 p.m. The children’s department will provide a “green” selection for the Mother/Daughter Book Club for girls in grades 3-5 with their moms. Discussion takes place April 23.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

 

The Little Art Gallery's Annual May Show is designed to recognize the talents and achievements of local artists. The call is open to any artist at least 16 years of age residing in Stark County. All works submitted must be original, recent and not previously exhibited in the Little Art Gallery. All media, with the exception of photography (unless altered as mixed media fine art), will be accepted for consideration. The 2015 Annual May Show opens the first week of May and will be on display in the gallery through May 30.

We are no longer requiring registration for the ongoing children’s programs listed below. So, pop-in for a storytime or join us for a Lego Club. We hope you can make the full session of each program, but we understand if you can’t. And if you’re that family who always intended to register, but forgot, come join us! We know you’re busy. We know committment can be hard. We’re embracing the flexibilty that families need. BUT we still plan to see you, so mark your calendars!

Saturday, April 11, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Sunday, April 12, 1-4:30 p.m.

Funds raised from the Friends book sales help fund a majority of the library programs as well as odds and ends the library’s budget doesn’t cover. 

In recent years, the Friends of the Library have provided the following for the library and its patrons: Furniture, Shelving, Snow Blower, Programming Supplies, Speaker/Performer Fees, BookPage Subscription, High-speed Copier, Outdoor Book Drop and more!
