Once accepted as a giver, you can pick up your books here at the North Canton Public Library. We had a terrific time participating in this project last year. It's so easy to get involved!

Holiday Ornament Bazaar
Tuesday, January 7 from 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

Done decking the halls, but not sure you want to keep all of your holiday cheer for next year? Then bring it to the library! Lay your unwanted holiday decorations on one of the tables downstairs and feel free to “shop” for something new to you. Don’t have anything you want to get rid of, but still want to “shop”? That’s okay too! Any decorations left on the table at 7 p.m. will be donated to a local charity. Please keep in mind that this is primarily an ornament swap. We won’t be able to accept large items, such as Christmas trees.

Organizing 101
Saturday, January 11 from 2-3 p.m.

Did you know that “getting organized” is consistently among the top five New Year’s resolutions that people make? If you’ve committed to getting organized in 2014, local professional organizer Natalie Gallagher of Refined Rooms LLC can provide you with the framework you need to get started.  During this presentation, you will learn basic principles of organizing, a four-step process for organizing any space, and the professional organizer’s Top Ten List of Must-Have Organizing Products. Space is limited so please register in advance beginning December 28.

Local Author, Mike Johnson
Wednesday, January 15 from 2-3 p.m.
Come listen to local author, Mike Johnson, discuss his latest novel, A Season Forgotten. Set in Romania, Johnson’s novel chronicles the influx of citizen uprisings in April 1989 that marked the beginning of Eastern Europe’s resistance to Communism. Please register in advance beginning January 2.
