Spreading the adoption of good ideas to improve patient care is fundamental to our work. These ideas can take a variety of forms, ranging from new technologies to process changes.

In this month’s newsletter we hear from John Illingworth on the support we are giving trusts to adopt innovative ideas to improve patient safety, we announce the four hospital departments we’ll be working with to pilot Care Opinion - a patient feedback platform, and we reflect on the impact on some of our work to date, including our support for digital health SMEs and culture change that focuses on human factors.

Charlie Davie, Managing Director, UCLPartners

Launch of pilot of the UK’s leading online patient feedback platform

Care Opinion offers patients and carers an easy way to anonymously and securely share their experiences and feedback with their healthcare provider. Healthcare staff can listen, gain insight, respond, and act on the feedback, improving patient experience. It also gives healthcare providers the chance to recognise staff who are going above and beyond in the treatment of patients.

We have provided four hospital departments in North London with a fully funded subscription to Care Opinion over the next six months and will be providing hands on support to help them pilot this platform.
