EACH DRESS A COLLECTIBLE WORK OF ART
Still Point Gallery is honored to have hosted this remarkable six week solo exhibit for Aimee Lee, one of Cleveland's leading artists. "Clothed" has been extremely well received, enjoying excellent sales from opening night. The highlights the first evening were the artist's two short talks describing the demanding process that begins with the creation of hanji paper and continues through the dyeing, design and fabrication of the garments, each a singular and original work of art.
This Saturday Aimee returns from her most recent show in Atlanta to give her talk at Still Point. Next month she will be featured in yet another show in Washington D.C. As a paper maker, writer, educator and this country's leading Hanji researcher and practitioner, she is revered and exhibited in museums throughout the world.
