For the first time, Little Italy will host two successive weekend art walks; the first this Friday, October 2rd thru Sunday, October 4th, and again the following weekend, October 9th thru 11th. Discover the wide array of original and collectible works of art and enjoy the incredible restaurants and weekend festivities that surround us.
The first weekend Still Point will feature the jewelry of Lauren Abele, founder of "LA Rouge" Saturday 1:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m. Lauren works with a combination of metals and gems, including sterling silver, gold filled and brass jewelry. Earrings, necklaces and bracelets are crafted from a variety of stones, including pyrite, druzy, crystal quartz and pearls. Her pieces are well priced between $40 and $200.
Julie McLaughlin's paper exhibit, "Kimonos, Corsets & More", will be on display through the end of October. Her reputation as one of the country's preeminent paper artists was evident as an unbelievable 50% of her collection sold out. We also booked a number of commissions for future pieces and we encourage everyone to visit this "not-to-be-missed" show. Julie is accepting select commissions for delivery after the first of the year.
Returning recently from NYC, we have added many new items for the holidays. Please come in to see our new lines of hand-made jewelry and beautiful handcrafted ceramics as well as more recent additions of fine art photographs, Sue Kirchner's stunning encaustics, hand-made paper prints, glass, wood sculpture and more.
