AND WHY NOT? Unleashing the power of imagination to create the future we want.
Back in November we showed a presentation by Rob Hopkins -talking about his inspiring new book. Over the past few weeks, a dozen or so members have been meeting fortnightly to discuss a few chapters at a time.
This 'book group' structure seems to be working really well -encouraging personal reflection and providing a space to share and discuss emerging ideas. More on some of these shortly. Meantime, why not start a similar group with your friends and neighbours?
John Muir -Earth, Planet, Universe
Along with other local groups, we are collaborating with the Friends of John Muir's Birthplace to create an exhibition and a programme of activities between April and October 2020 to explore the relevance of John Muir in this time of Climate and Ecological Emergencies. The hope is to make the great range of community activity in the Dunbar area more visible, to develop a shared vision of the sort of community we are working towards and to inspire more people to 'do stuff'. More on this soon.
