The Center for Large Data Research and Data Sharing in Rehabilitation (CLDR) held its annual meeting on January 30th in Galveston, TX, at the historic Tremont House.

CLDR hosted a visiting scholar, Kimberly Erler, PhD, OTR/L, Assistant Professor, Department of Occupational Therapy, MGH Institute of Health Professions. She presented, "Examining Social Participation After Neurological Injury," on February 12, 2020 at UTMB. Learn more about the Visiting Scholar program.

This session will tackle the issues that clinicians are facing in light of the significant and growing volume of data available to drive their evidence-based practice. Does more data enable clinicians to make wiser decisions, or do clinicians need better decision-making processes instead? A panel of clinicians, administrators, and researchers will discuss and debate these issues highlighting opportunities, as well as threats introduced by emerging trends of data science on patient outcomes.

Call for Applications

CLDR Travel Award for Secondary Analysis of Archived Studies Applications are due April 15, 2020.

The Category 3 Travel Award for Secondary Data Analysis of Archived Studies is an opportunity for early career researchers, postdoctoral fellows and doctoral students to perform secondary analysis of data from completed studies in the Archive of Data on Disability to Enable Policy and research (ADDEP) repository. Award recipients will participate in the CLDR Symposium at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) annual conference October 21-24 as a part of the CLDR-Sponsored Young Investigators Panel: Secondary Analysis of Archived Datasets symposia. Funds, up to $2,500, will support conference registration, travel, and accommodations.
