I don't know about you, but I am very happy to have reached the age of "seniority".
Through all the trials and tribulations of an interesting life.
It can never be said that I never tried anything. I've even won a few competitions in my time.
But business to me isn't a competition. It's a game. An infinite, never-ending game.
Even coming last in the race, we get to try again. And again. And again.
Now and then a win. Mostly 2nd or 3rd place. Or last. Try again tomorrow.
And so we go on. Learning, trying, succeeding, failing. Try again.
Pete Carruthers is way, way better at writing interesting emails than I will ever be.
Even though I've done the courses, I struggle to get over bad habits.
His latest interesting email to me is all about "How to Survive Now and Prosper Again Soon".
It's on my Blog. I'll keep practising. One day, I'll get it semi-right. Never perfect.
In the meantime, I'll keep sharing stuff.
"Do less. Keep returning to one thing and continue to refine it." James Clear.
I get this reminder in my email every morning. From my Calender. Helps to keep me sane.
What is KILLING our economy? A frank discussion - On Freedom FANatics this week, Sholan and Hermann identify the core reasons for South Africa’s economy woes and how they can be solved.
PS. Eastgate Shopping Centre has just donated R300,000 of their parking earnings to Gift of the Givers!!! Well done, a great cause.
How about all the other Gates? Northgate, Southgate, Westgate? Bill Gates?
Okay, that's just my opinion, as a South AfriCAN! What do you think?
Below is what I do to "supplement" my "pension"! As a "little guy". And Senior Citizen.

I watched a very interesting Big Debate on eTV over the weekend. with Redi Tlhabe. She rocks! About service at the municipal level.
Some excellent input from Independents and small (or new) political parties.
No big parties were there. Thankfully.
It seems the politicians and socialist analysts are running a little scared.
Good on you guys, fighting our battles for us.
I'm talking about every community in the country.
Just good folk determined to fight corruption in Municipalities. They have my support.
I hope every member of your community supports them against the "big guys".
Time to put the running of communities back in the resident's hands.
Let's put the "baddies" behind bars. They can have "designer" orange overalls, until they're very old.
Too old to come back. Just like our ex-president. And his cronies.
Strength and good luck in the elections.
PS. I'm a 75 year old "pensioner", with a great future behind me. I WILL be voting on Nov 1.
Not for me, but for my Grandchildren. Stand up, youngsters, it's your future.
I'm busy re-reading this book on my Kindle. Some very good ideas here.
Allan Dib is the author of the One Page Marketing Plan - the book that started a worldwide movement. He says:
Have you ever subscribed to someone's mailing list only to get spammed with nonstop sales offers?
It feels icky and it burns the trust you had in them.
Of course, there's nothing wrong with including a commercial message in your emails.
But the primary goal is to create a connection and nurture your prospects until they are ready to buy. Remember, people love to buy but they hate being sold to... Read the full message and visit Allan's website for much, much more.

PS. My website and newsletter are to keep you up to speed with what’s happening in our country. From my perspective. With your permission. The Good things. And, there are many. Things you may not see on television or on social media. Things that interest me, mostly. Links to Organisations that I believe are doing good, positive things in our country. And to those people trying very hard to right the wrongs. Positive stuff. No lectures. Friends trying to make a success (or a living) in their own businesses. Through Sharing. With your permission only. I hope you enjoy what I (we) can offer. If it's not for you, no worries, click the unsubscribe link in the footer at the end.
Have a good day. Every day above ground is a good one. One day at a time. Life is good.
