EMS and Medication Safety

Unique, innovative partnerships are needed to help ensure medication safety in rural populations and areas with low access to healthcare. Nationally and worldwide there are reports and data about emergency medical services (EMS) personnel working with individuals for medication safety. This Unplugged is hosted by the Iowa Primary Care Association (IPCA), which has a unique perspective on safety net and underserved health populations. In this episode, Estelle Montgomery interviews an Iowa physician who has firsthand reliable stories and practical advise on community paramedicine and community partnerships for medication management.
