Board Approves Sidewalk Repairs for County Neighborhoods
The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners approved a plan to repair existing sidewalks across the County. About 75% of the $20 million allocation will focus on neighborhoods in underserved areas as identified in the County's Community Equity Profile. The other quarter will be used on sidewalks in areas identified by customer service requests. The approved funding, which is a result of the American Rescue Plan, will provide about 154,000 linear feet of repairs to existing sidewalks, making neighborhoods more walkable and safer. The full list of neighborhoods and a map of the County showing the areas slated for repair can be found here.
