Where To Get Elementor Templates To Get You Started With Your WordPress Web Site

If you count yourself among the web design challenged crowd nothing beats the fear of design like a web page template.



I recently did a WordPress MeetUp where I took an Elementor template and transformed it into a desirable home page.

But fear not. If you are using Gutenberg or page builders like Beaver Builder, Brizy, WP Bakery, Divi and the rest there are countless templates for all of these.

Whether you're working alone or with others, creating a style guide for a web site is not just handy. It's a must.



It's the way to focus on how the elements of your pages will look. And it provides a path to consistency and brand building.

A style guide is a set of instructions on how the site will look. It can be very simple with just a few style rules like color and typography or very complex like these examples.

One I love and I am using for my new Joy of WP site is Mozilla's Style Guide. It has a very strong color direction.

PLUGIN: Child Theme Configurator

This is one of my favorite plugins. It has saved me lots of time and it does a few things better than I can.



If you're not doing any coding for your site then you won't need this. But if your about to spin up a new WP site and you need lots of customizations that you can't get from your theme or plugins then you will need to create a Child Theme.

A Child Theme is where all site code customizations must be made. And to get that process started the go-to workhorse is the Child Theme Configurator.

Once this plugin does its thing its work is done. It can be deactivated and uninstalled.
