Phi Kap Recruitment
In Full Swing

A new academic year has begun and Phi Kap chapters across North America are working hard to build the newest generation of Men of Honor. For some, the results are already in: the brothers of Alpha Kappa chapter (Alabama) welcome 27 New Members, Beta Mu (South Alabama) welcome 12, and the Beta Psi colony (Washington State) welcome 29.

Let your chapter's Educational Consultant know how your chapter has done so we can feature you in future updates. We wish all our chapters a safe and successful recruitment this year!

Beta Theta Chapter Closes

Effective July 31, 2016, the charter of Beta Theta Chapter at Texas Christian University has been suspended. The decision was made following concerned discussions between the Fraternity and the University in the wake of multiple allegations of violating Phi Kappa Sigma and TCU policies during the Spring term. The Fraternity is currently working with TCU to arrange for the Chapter's return.

Phase One Events and
Risk Management

As the Fraternity begins its refocus on a health and safety initiative, social events with alcohol are the primary concern. The revised Risk Management policies require our chapters to take on more responsibility before and during events. Some requirements include key chapter officers to attend a "Responsible Hosting" webinar each term and an acceptable performance by the chapter in the GreekLifeEDU program. Future phases of this initiative will cover topics such as mental health and life safety.

MCS Quarter 1 assignments are due in ChecklistApp September 15th

MCS 2015-2016 A Success

The Fraternity is pleased to announce that Mitchell Chapter Standards performance has improved overall following the implementation of the quarterly submission structure last year. Seventy-one percent of active Phi Kap chapters reached a passing score on Tier 0 and Tier 1 objectives! MCS will continue on a quarterly basis for the 2016-2017 year, and we look forward to each chapter's submissions and feedback.
