Lesson 12:
The Triune God Dispensing Himself into the Tripartite Man
Bible reading
Please pray over these verses.

Romans 8:10, 6, 11
10 But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness.
6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace.
11 And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you.

God is revealed as triune in relation to His purpose of dispensing Himself into man. Through the processes of incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, He is now dispensing Himself into man’s spirit, soul, and body, progressively saturating each part unto glorification and full sonship.

Please prayerfully read through the following portions of ministry related to this lesson.

Our God is the Triune God who has passed through incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. Now He is the all-inclusive Spirit to be the divine life for our participation, experience, and enjoyment. First, He dispenses Himself into our spirit, the center of our being (8:10). From the center, He spreads into our mind and saturates it with life (v. 6). Then He extends into our mortal body and thereby makes our whole tripartite being life (v. 11). In this way we become men of life in all three parts of our being. This is the Triune God dispensing Himself into the tripartite man. (Elders’ Training, Book 6: The Crucial Points of the Truth in Paul’s Epistles, ch. 2, section 4)

Our God is no longer the unprocessed God. The One who dwells in us has been fully processed. The Spirit who indwells us is the realization of the Son, who is the embodiment of the Father. The Father is embodied in the Son, the Son is realized as the Spirit, and the Spirit indwells us. This is the Triune God who has been processed through incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection, who is dispensing Himself into us, and who is now dwelling in us.

Verse 11 indicates that the Triune God is being dispensed not only into our spirit, the center of our being, as indicated in verse 10, but even into our mortal body, the circumference of our being. This means that the dispensation of the Triune God is saturating our whole being. The more I experience and enjoy this dispensation, the more I am energized spiritually, psychologically, and physically. (Life-study of Romans, msg. 60, section 3)

Such a dispensation issues in sonship...This dispensation makes us the many sons of God, the many brothers of the Firstborn. These many sons of God and many brothers of the Firstborn are the members which constitute the Body of Christ. Therefore, the ultimate issue of the dispensation of the Triune God is to produce sons to be the members which constitute the Body of Christ. This is God’s way to fulfill His eternal purpose. His purpose is accomplished neither by teaching nor by organization, but by the dispensing of Himself as the processed Triune God into our being. (Life-study of Romans, msg. 60, section 4)
