this ones a bit early bc its haleys birthday tomorrow!
mostly photos of the cherry blosom outside our apartment, and messing around in the studio this time. Been really enjoying having the studio to go to and do shoots and make sets and stuff.Ive got a few shoots lined up in the studio but please, reach out if you want to do something! or just want some pictures of yourself surrounded by crap, or want to just hang out and get your picture taken. I don't know how I want to continue this idea of a portrait studio, so I think I'll just have to do as much as I can until I figure it out.
anyways, I'm in a few zines coming out soon, just instagram people who reached out, I'll probably share those on insta... kinda nice getting asked to be a part of something, but somehow in my mind has no correlation to being rejected from things lmao. but oh well, if you got any leads of good thigns to apply to, let me know! okay well enjoy! theres some cool photos from a cheap camcorder at the bottom! thanks! love you! :-*!

"Portrait Studio"

Got the chance to take pictures of an old coworker Ash. She wanted some promotional stuff for her music projects and photos to post online. I decided to do a blue backdrop for this one. I think I’m really starting to like the photos of the empty ‘sets’ that I’ve been taking as test images. Those along with the tightly cropped photos always tend to be my favorite. I’m really starting to like taking pictures of people and figuring out what works and doesn't and, as always, what I’m even trying to do. I think these have been a great way to expand my idea of photography and my place in it. I also just love these accumulation based portraits, the actual collection and assembly and then placing someone in these delicate awkward worlds full of trash and sheets and books and tools.

Spain on 5.3 megapixels

Lately i've been thinking about the lower resolution digital cameras, and what they potentially have to offer, and I came across some photos I took on a camcorder when Haley and I were in Spain in 2019.

Its crazy how grainy these photos looked on my computer versus in the mailchimp interface, scaled down. If u want to talk about this or are interested in what I’ve been thinking about lmk it feels like too much to just dump as loose info, it wouldnt be very concise or clear
hehe thanks every1, this one was actually exciting to make again, I kept updating it every few days, so thats good to be in that mindset again. thank you for reading and doing whatever have a good day and two weeks <3
