Marlon Evans, CEO of GSVlabs

As CEO of GSVlabs, Marlon oversees an ecosystem of innovation including 160+ start-ups, investors, corporations, universities and government.  In creating a platform for collaboration via innovation labs focused on EdTech, Mobility, Big Data, and Sustainability, GSVlabs helps accelerate the journey from solution to scale.  Prior to joining GSVlabs, Marlon served as a Director of Corporate Affairs at Hewlett Packard​. His team implemented​ global community engagement programs, collaborating with the Stanford on ideathon​s and facilitating company-driven hackathons in support of educational, health, and environmental innovation.  Marlon also served as the Director of Partnerships at the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) Foundation and Executive Director of Ronnie Lott’s All Stars Helping Kids.  Marlon received his BA in Political Science and a MA in Sociology from Stanford University, where he competed on the football and track & field teams.

Jun Liang, SVP of Le Holdings and President of Le Shi Zhi Xin; One of founders of Letv smart devices;

Mr. Liang Jun, an EMBA holder of China Europe International Business School, graduated from Beijing Jiaotong University and received a master's degree in electronic engineering. During working at Lenovo Group from April in 1995, he had been serving as General Manager of Lenovo product-chain management department, General Manager of Lenovo server business unit, General Manager of product marketing at Lenovo Mobile Communication Technology Co. Ltd., vice president of smart mobile product development at Lenovo Group and other positions. He is deeply experienced in product planning and development of smart devices, business unit management and corporate planning management. On January 30th 2012, Mr. Liang Jun joined Letv and currently serves as SVP of Le Holdings and President of Le Shi Zhi Xin. He is one of the founders of Letv smart devices including Super TV, Super Phone and etc.

Ren Wu, the Founder and CEO of NovuMind

Dr. Ren Wu is the Founder and CEO of NovuMind, where he is leading the effort to push the frontier of artificial intelligence (AI) via high-performance and heterogeneous computing. As the world class expert on artificial intelligence, he was one of the few technologist invited to attend WuZhen Summit and honored to give a speech. His dream is to make AI to be omnipotent and omnipresent. He was the distinguished scientist at Baidu Research where he and his team have designed and built a supercomputer dedicate for deep learning, and have achieved world’s best results on many image recognition tasks. Prior to joining Baidu, Ren served as chief software architect of Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) at AMD. Earlier, he was the principal investigator of CUDA Research Center at HP Labs, where he is widely known for his pioneering work in using GPUs to accelerate big data analytics and large-scale machine learning algorithms. Ren is also known for his early work on artificial intelligence. His Xiangqi (Chinese chess) program was twice world champion and have dominated computer Xiangqi field for more than a decade. He was the first person to perform systematic research computationally on Xiangqi endgames with astonishing discoveries.
SVIEF Annual Smart  Device Summit will be held on January 9th, 2016 at Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley, California.

SVIEF Smart Device Summit is organized by SVIEF (Silicon Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum) which is an international conference designed to foster innovation and promote business partnerships connecting US and Asia-Pacific region. 

The summit includes two parts: Smart Device Forums and SVIEF-Star Demos. It is designed to be a venue to discuss and draw attention to the rapidly growing Smart Device movement. 

The Summit will be providing friendly forums to be as inclusive as possible. Speakers include world renowned leaders from industry, academia, and the maker community. Talks cover a wide range such as hardware entrepreneurship and investment. Project Demos are related to fields like digital fabrication, fashion technology, self-quantification devices, etc.

The summit will be from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Following is the Agenda.
