An Unexpected Form of Ministry

Something that has been a huge plus for us in this season of “lockdown” is the way God has utilized our creativity to create a new form of ministry. For the last several months, we have talked about creating videos for Juli’s My Little Chapina business. However, what we never saw coming was how God could use this same idea to reach out to a world that has gone through a very difficult and confusing season. Over the last month, Juli has been developing videos to reach out to her 2 main age groups that she is pastoring at Transformation Church. At the same, David has been developing a video series called “7 Minutes of Encouragement” with the goal of helping people find answers and grow in their walk with God during this season. Both YouTube Channels have really taken off and are developing quite the following. If you would like to watch any of these videos, you can look us up on YouTube or visit our website. We also want to invite you to pray for us as we continue learning how to improve our video production while also increasing our reach and influence. 

A New Prayer Ministry

This past February, God began to stir us and awaken a desire to join with intercessors in our church and pray for revival. A ministry called Northgate 2020, a ministry whose heart was to unify the church body in North Houston, was about to start and connected us with others who had felt a similar call of the Lord. As the COVID-19 virus began to spread and life as we knew it began shutting down, a great cry began to rise up in our hearts to begin gathering members of our church for times of seeking His face and crying out for our church, area, and nation. We initially began meeting in homes of different members of our church family, before finally having to move everything to a weekly (and sometimes bi-weekly) zoom call. Our group has been steadily growing and we are believing that this is going to be the launch of a new and powerful season in our ministry and in our church.

Guatemala Summer Missions

Some of you already know that we have been planning to lead a team from our home church to Guatemala to work with YWAM this summer. Initially, things got off to a great start as we began assembling quite the team of adults, youth, and children. However, since the team began to form, COVID-19 has taken place and borders have closed, putting the trip in jeopardy. At this point, those plans are still a go, however, we are also keeping our eye on the news and this whole situation. We do not want to cancel the trip yet out of fear, but we also want to move forward in wisdom as well. Thus, we want to invite you to pray with us about this trip that we will have wisdom to know the timing of the trip and how to proceed if God continues to give us a green light to go.
