Hello and Happy 2015!

I hope you had a festive holiday season and counted all of your blessings. I know that I did! Cultivating the habit of gratitude is something that seems to tell the Universe that you are ready for more blessings and who doesn't want more blessings?

I recently did a photo shoot with local Baltimore photographer John Waire from thewairehouse as part of a fundraiser for a young boy battling cancer. (The photo above is one of my favorites in the batch!)....The fee for my session went to offset medical expenses the family needs help with. In exchange I got a ton of new photos that I can use in my marketing materials. It's a win-win any way you look at it.

To prepare for the photo shoot, I got a colleague to do my make up and I wore an outfit that I absolutely love. It's so important to feel good when the camera is on you. I tell my clients that you want to show up in the most authentic way so that people KNOW, LIKE AND TRUST YOU.

I am so amazed by John Waire when he gets behind the camera. He has a unique ability to capture your essence. It's his gift. Plus, we always have fun working together talking about life and stuff.  I highly recommend him if you are looking for a photographer to capture you or your event in the Baltimore area (plus he will travel so give him a call he might just be available!).

I hope that you enjoy this edition of The Point!

P.S. - I also promise to never share or sell my list and I won't be offended if you unsubscribe.

Satisfying My Inner Geek

I did it. I upgraded to an iPhone 6. My inner geek needs to have the latest and greatest technology. Staying up on the next great thing feeds my geekiness. I found the iPhone 6 plus just a little TOO much. I use my phone to access the Kindle app and all of the books I have downloaded so I like the bigger screen that comes with the iPhone 6.

This was my class this past semester at Notre Dame of Maryland University and they were total rock stars. Each of them brought their whole self to class and grew as a result. I loved getting to know each of them and hearing what their dreams are and then helping them learn as much as possible about marketing and communications so they can go do what they dream about! Way to go!
