WORKSHOP INTEREST SURVEY FOR
2023 SSN CHORAL FESTIVAL
Planning is well underway for the 13th Sister Singers Network Choral Festival, "We Rock the World", to be held June 28 - July 2, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio. We are seeking your feedback to ensure that the festival experience continues to offer dynamic learning and connection opportunities that align to participant needs and interests.
Our goal is to highlight the talent we have within the network, so we’re looking to each participating chorus and individual SSN member to offer input not only on topics about which they want to learn more, but also on areas of experience and expertise they are able to share with others. Please complete this form by November 15th to help us understand the types of workshops you would be interested in ATTENDING and/or PRESENTING during the 2023 festival! We appreciate your feedback.
Please share the link to this survey with each individual
planning to attend the 2023 festival!

Notes from Karen Kaufman to her chorus, San Diego Women's Chorus, about the SSN Annual Membership Meeting
"I enjoyed my time at the Sister Singers Network (SSN) Annual Meeting in Cleveland, hosted by Windsong, Cleveland's Feminist Chorus. Some of the main things I think worth mentioning are as follows:
The venue for the 2023 festival looks great (Cleveland State University). All locations are close to each other and there are a number of possibilities for gatherings of all sizes. Being in dormitory housing and having access to a common dining hall should facilitate social interactions.
The performance spaces and the lobbies at Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland are beautiful in a grand, old-fashioned way (possible location of Mass Chorus performance).
Cleveland has a number of tourist attractions nearby.
SSN is excited and grateful that SDWC (a west coast chorus) is planning to participate.
On Sunday, Ayo Awosika joined us by Zoom and we listened to her recording of her
singing all the parts of the commissioned piece, which as I understand it, is not yet in its final form. Then we got a chance to learn and sing parts of it ourselves. Ayo was happy to get a chance to hear how it sounded with multiple voices singing it and to see which parts were tricky to learn. We were excited to get a chance to collaborate with Ayo in a creative endeavor. The piece is powerful, beautiful, and challenging in some places."
