Harvard Project Team’s Work Featured in Nature
Harvard University’s ARPA-E-funded organic flow battery was recently profiled in Nature.  

ARPA-E Nat Gas Programs Highlighted
ARPA-E’s MOVE and REMOTE programs, which focus on innovative advances in natural-gas-related technologies, were spotlighted in a recent Scientific American article. ARPA-E awardees LanzaTech and Ceramatec were also mentioned.  

Primus Power Profiled
Primus Power recently acquired VC funding to further advance its ARPA-E-funded grid-storage project. The announcement was covered by several media outlets, including Greentech Media

Seeking Fellows & Scholars

ARPA-E is currently accepting applications for Fellows and Technology-to-Market Scholars. During their two-year tenure, ARPA-E Fellows identify breakthrough energy technologies and white spaces. During their 8-12 week tenure, ARPA-E Technology-to-Market Scholars conduct analysis and research to support the commercialization of ARPA-E's high-impact energy technology projects and programs. 

You can view the application requirements and instructions for both programs in the Job Opportunities section of the ARPA-E website. The deadline to apply for Fellows positions is Friday, April 11. Technology-to-Market Scholars applications are due Friday, April 4.

Additionally, ARPA-E is always looking for talented Program Directors and Technology-to-Market Advisors. Information on these full-time staff positions is also available on the ARPA-E website

ARPA-E Summit Recap

Thank you to all of the 2014 Summit attendees for making this year’s event (our fifth annual) a resounding success! Photos from all three days of the Summit are now available, as are the ARPA-E awardee videos that debuted on the main stage this year. This year’s Summit featured:
  • 2,100+ attendees from academia, industry, and government 
  • 274 cutting-edge energy technologies in the Technology Showcase
  • Over a dozen keynote speakers, including Pulitzer Prize winning author Thomas Friedman and Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz
  • 21 government agency partners, including other Energy Department agencies and the Department of Defense
If you missed this year’s Summit, videos of the main stage programming are now available on the ARPA-E Summit website. And, save the date for the 2015 Summit! It will be held February 9-11, 2015 at the Gaylord National Convention Center, just outside Washington, DC.
