Arisia '16 is coming soon, and we're looking forward to showing you the awesomeness we've been putting together ... now with 32% more whimsy! We'll be at the Westin Boston Waterfront from Friday January 15 through Monday January 18, and we hope you will too!
Hotel and Party Requests
People who would like to host a party have until December 5th to fill out the Party Host Request Form . Prospective party hosts should already have a reservation at the Westin or should be on the Waitlist.
The deadline for requesting accessible rooms, cots, cribs, or connecting rooms is also December 5th. The deadline for requesting to be in the family block, in a low/shabbat floor, or any other locations requests or reservation modifications is December 9th. Any special requests must be made by filling out the Special Request Form.
Registration News
Arisia will be adopting a new and improved registration system at con in January. To prepare, we'll be closing online registration on December 31. MEMBERSHIPS WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR! We just need to close up shop for a few weeks to make sure the new system is working as it should.
Registration is also MOVING! Starting at Arisia 2016, Registration will be located on the Concourse (take the escalator or elevator next to Sauciety down to the hallway approaching the Grand Ballrooms). There will be plenty of signs pointing the way.
Live Action Roleplaying
Arisia 2016 has a wide selection of live-action roleplaying games, from fantasy to science fiction to steampunk adventure! All of this year's games welcome new and interested players, although some are part of a greater story that you can learn about through play. Signups are now open! Read about this year's games and sign up here: http://www.arisia.org/larping
Flu Vaccine
Arisia happens at the height of the flu season, and the CDC recommends an annual flu vaccine for most people over six months of age. http://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/season/flu-season-2015-2016.htm It takes about two weeks for the vaccine to take effect, so people who get theirs before the new year will be protected in time for con.
Also, please remember your ordinary precautions to protect your fellow attendees -- hand-washing, sneeze-covering, staying home if you're ill and potentially contagious.
Be well, and see you soon!
