Dear Riders, 

Welcome to the first newsletter for the 2019 Haute Route Pyrenees. Congratulations on registering for an incredible event, we can’t wait for you to discover the raw beauty of this mountain range and challenge yourself in this unique cycling experience. 

In the lead up to the event, these newsletters are designed to keep you informed on a fortnightly basis about all aspects related to the Haute Route Pyrenees and provide insights that can help you prepare to the best of your ability.

TIME TO GET ORGANISED...
You may have already sorted your training plan for the event, but have you considered the other important things yet? Here are a couple of things to consider in the lead up to the event.  

1.    Accommodation
The Haute Route offers various optional accommodation packages, including breakfast and daily transportation of your bag from hotel to hotel. There are various packages available, from premium options to budget options and availability is now limited for the Pyrenees, with some packages already sold out. Click here to find out more and select the right one for you.  

2.    Airport Shuttle 
Have you considered how you will get from the airport to the event village? If you are flying into Toulouse (the nearest airport to Pau) then you can book onto one of our airport shuttles. The shuttle costs 50 euros one way and 100 euros for a round trip and can be booked via your entry form. The schedule is as follows: 

Toulouse to Pau: 

Thursday 15th August: 6.00pm 
Friday 16th August: 10:30am, 2:00pm and 4:00pm 

Pau to Toulouse: 

Saturday 24th August: 6:30am, 10:30am, 2:00pm and 4:00pm

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to join the closed Facebook group for all Haute Route Pyrenees riders. Here you can find practical information about the event, talk with other riders taking part this year or ask Haute Route Ambassadors or alumni for advice on anything from training to travel plans. 

Don’t forget to also follow us on our social media channels too – including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Strava and share your training journey with us online.
