Volunteer Fair dry root whips
We hope that all the dry root whips from the Volunteer Fair have been being looked after - either planted in the ground (can we have pictures ?) or potted up for later (can we have pictures please ?).
If you've potted one or two purely to nurture until they can be planted out we may be looking to gather those in now as we have places to plant them even if they are still small.
We would like to swap your nurtured bare root saplings for potted cuttings which will need nurturing for at least a year.
Please do get in touch if you have any saplings that can be planted out - if you have any bare root ones then we'll take those too in case we can recover them. And we will get them planted in their forever homes.
The propogating project exploded this week with Cherry Nurse of Towersey kindly making 200 cuttings which have been distributed to residents who are going to look after them for the next year. Cherry has also trained another up who is hopefully beavering away this weekend to get some more done.
