Woodland Trust MoreWOODS project

The #ThameTrees project from 21st Century Thame would like to go big !

The Woodland Trust has a project called MOREwoods.

The main gist of this is that the Woodland Trust subsidises the planting up of a Woodland.  The area of land must be at least 1.25 acres and will be designed to encourage wildlife.

This particular project isn't about planting a few trees in a garden - whatever the size of the garden - it's the new planting of woodland.

Eligible projects must plant - in total :

  • at least 1.25 acres (0.5 hectares) of new woodland and
  • 1000-1600 trees per hectare.

The area can be made up of multiple smaller blocks of at least 0.1ha each. There is no maximum size limit, although larger projects may be advised of other grant schemes available.

MOREwoods cannot fund trees for restocking in established woodland, or planting on areas of recently felled woodland.

Are you a landowner who wants at least 0.1 hectare of woodland ?

Contact if you are.

This project is for planting November 2021 to March 2022.

Nurturing Volunteer Fair trees ?

Where possible we would like to get any nurtured trees into the grounds that we will be working in over the next few weeks.

So if you contacted us to tell us you have nurtured trees and want them planted out we'll be in contact very soon.
