WWSF Prize for womenʼs creativity
in rural life 


The Prize annually awards 10 rural women leaders for their creativity and courage in improving the quality of life in rural communities. The 2013 prize winners' profiles can be viewed on our website. Prize award ceremonies are held in the laureates' home communities to give visibility and support to the programs and work of the leaders awarded each year. To date, 395 prizewinners have been awarded. 


Call to Action! Nominate candidates for 2014 and let us honor our creative and courageous sisters living in rural areas.

15 October 2013 - International Day of Rural Women 


We invite you read the OPEN LETTER TO THE RURAL WOMEN OF THE WORLD 2013 in which we empower them to claim their right to dignity and education.

 

Call to Action! Share the Open Letter to help create a world where rural women are entitled to equal rights and a life in dignity.  

White Ribbon – Swiss Campaign 
 

The White Ribbon Campaign in Switzerland invites you to a public gathering at the Place des Nations in Geneva, to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women - 25 November. A new initiative, Action 16x16, will be launched to mobilize and spread the message of the campaign: not to commit, condone, nor remain silent about violence against women and girls.

 

Call to Action!  Become a member, join the conversation, and make a pledge.

19 Days of Activism for prevention of violence against children and youth 1 - 19 November


The 2013 edition of the 19 Days campaign has mobilized over 220 coalition members from 92 countries who registered their activities online. Visit our website to read about innovative measures for better prevention of violence. Follow us during the upcoming 19 Days on Facebook and Twitter to read our daily messages and to get involved. All registered coalition members will receive an invitation at the end of the year to partner with us on a new initiative "YouthPrize - 19 Days".

2013 Call to Action and Prevention Kit

For those of  you who are not familiar with the campaign, visit our CALL TO ACTION - PREVENTION KIT 2013 to find out about the main theme and the other 19 selected topics that need urgent prevention measures. 
We all have a role to play!

The annual impact report will be published online early next year.

WWSF Prize for innovative prevention activities 

 

WWSF has selected five active coalition member organizations for the 2013 Prize for innovative prevention measures. Their names and work will be published on line and announced on the World Day for prevention of Child Abuse - 19 November. Congratulations for their excellent work to advance prevention and protection of children and youth.
