Dear <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>,
> REMINDER: CND "Global Dangers" public meeting

Please join us in the Sidwella Room at the St Sidwell's community centre (Sidwell Street, Exeter EX4 6NN click here for a map). The meeting will begin at 6.30pm with Amelia's talk, followed by time for questions & discussion. Refreshments will be available and the event is FREE to attend (although donations are welcome to help cover costs). Refreshments will be available.
Click here for the Facebook event page to let us know you're coming.
> Annual General Meeting
The public meeting will be followed by Exeter CND's annual general meeting from 8.30-9.30pm (members only). Click here for the agenda, click here for the minutes of the 2018 AGM, and click here to read my report of our activities in 2018 (copies will be available at the meeting).
The officer posts of Exeter CND council will be elected at this meeting. Do get in touch if you're interested in getting more involved. The officer posts are below (with the names of the current people in brackets):
- Chair (Tom Milburn)
- Organising Secretary (Tom Milburn)
- Treasurer (Jan Ross)
- Membership Secretary (Mandy Barnes)
- Minutes Secretary (Maurice Spurway)
- Campaigns Officer (Maurice Spurway)
- Press Officer (vacant)
- Newsletter Co-ordinator (vacant)
We will also be voting on our amended constitution. You may recall that this time last year we wrote to you all with a copy of the current version which dates back to 1983. Exeter CND council has gone through and updated it where necessary as many references were very out-of-date. The amended version of the constitution can be downloaded by clicking here.
Any member with comments can email in advance of the meeting (click here to send an email), and of course members are very welcome to come along to the AGM to discuss it.
> Membership
If you haven't already, please renew your membership of Exeter CND for 2019 - or increase your standing order if you can afford to. You can click here to open a membership form which you can print off and complete, and return to the Peace Shop address (at the foot of this email and also on the form itself) together with a cheque made payable to "Exeter CND".
> Volunteers
We are always looking for more volunteers to help us keep the Peace Shop open. If you are able to spare some time, even on an occasional basis, please do get in touch by email (click here to send an email) or telephone the Peace Shop on 01392 431447.
