2016 has been one fantastic season at the Nemeth Art Center!  If you have not yet experienced Jim Denomie, John Salhus or Mike Raidt's exhibits, they will be up until September 30th.  As you can see, Eric Bobzin's September exhibit in the Community Gallery has been cancelled, so there will not be an opening reception this Saturday, September 3rd.   If you haven't done so already, please consider supporting rural Minnesota arts culture by becoming a member of the NAC: here.  Please know that your continued support of the Nemeth Art Center is greatly appreciated!

"Take a Walk on the Wild Side"

Wild Rice Festival

The Nemeth Art Center, in partnership with the White Earth Nation, Park Rapids Downtown Business Association and Park Rapids Chamber of Commerce is hosting "Take a Walk on the Wild Side"- a Wild Rice Festival to be held at Armory Square in Park Rapids October 22nd, 2016.

The event will run from 10 am to midnight with performances by Corey Medina, Elisa Korenne, Sonny Johnson, Amanda Standalone, Eddie Lee Kid, Karen Townsend and Annie Humphrey.  The Duluth Spin Collective (a fire dancing troupe) will perform in the evening and regional artists' work will be on display throughout the day.

Along with showcasing regional artists and musicians, the Wild Rive Festival will present an opportunity for attendees to stock up on authentic wild rice, discover the terroir of the different strains of wild rice found in the rivers and lakes throughout the region and learn how local wild rice is harvested and processed.  Last but not least, there will be a wide variety of food available for purchase at the Wild Rice Festival.
