With local schools on spring break, there are lots of special events on the calendar. Arbor Annie has the best of the events plus some activity ideas for you this week.
Spring Break Week Sponsor: Zap Zone
Thank you to Zap Zone for sponsoring our Spring Break Week Roundup. My daughter loves Zap Zone! I think we've been there at least 5 times already in 2017. They've extended their hours for more spring break fun.
In addition to their expanded hours, they are kicking off spring break with Mega Monday - unlimited attractions for just $20 from 10a-1p on Monday, April 3. Be sure to arrive early since they sold out their Mega Monday events on MLK and Presidents Day. Next up is $4 Tuesday with attractions just $4 all day. It's a great deal if you just want to play a few games. While the deals end after Tuesday, they have extended hours through the weekend.
Arbor Annie's Spring Break Event Picks
Arbor Annie combed through the spring break events and found some great fun for local families. In addition to the events for school aged kids, there are some great events just for toddlers and preschoolers.
The Ypsilanti District Library is offering Spring Break Drop-In at 2p each day at their Downtown and Whittaker Rd locations. Their website doesn't list the daily activities, but it's sure to be fun.
Ann Arbor Parks has added extra Skate Sessions at Veterans Park and extra Swim Hours at Mack Pool.
Michaels has Make Sessions from 10a-noon. There is a different craft project each day.
Putterz Miniature Golf opened this weekend. It's scheduled to be a rainy week, but if the forecast changes, they are a fun option - especially with All You Can Play on Tuesdays before 5p.
Movies
New in theaters this week is Boss Baby. My daughter enjoyed the movie, but I'd say it's more on the kids side than an adult movie. Disney's Beauty and the Beast is still in theaters and a great choice! We definitely recommend it (with a few reservations for young children).
Also in theaters is Power Rangers. I have to admit that we aren't very interested in it. My daughter never watched the show and I am too old to have grown up with the TV show. Although I have to admit that the previews have intrigued us. However, of the action movies, my daughter expressed more interest in Kong: Skull Island.
Quality 16's Free Matinees is a great choice for Friday morning. They are showing Kobo & the Two Strings.
