It's a long weekend with the kids off on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr Day. Don't forget to sign your child up for one of the day off camps and activities.
With Ann Arbor Restaurant Week starting on Sunday it is a great week to eat out in Ann Arbor. We've already made our plans for the week.
It's also a great weekend to head to Detroit with the Auto Show opening to the public on Saturday. I visited on Media Days and shared some of the Family Friendly Activities at the Auto Show. Check our review for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Auto Show. (enter by 12:45p on Friday, January 13). Also, if you're on Twitter, be sure to follow me and join us at our #DetroitLovesAutos Twitter Party from noon-1p on Friday, January 13.
Arbor Annie's Weekend Picks
Aside from Restaurant Week and the Auto Show, there are some other great events this weekend.
7:15pm-8:45pm Public Skate at Buhr Park Outside Ice Arena
Movies
There are several movies in theaters that are great for families depending on the age of your children. We enjoyed Rogue One on it's opening weekend, but don't recommend it for young children.
Moana, Sing, and Monster Trucks (which is new to theaters this weekend) are probably the best films for children.
Alos in movies, I have the latest details on the upcoming film Cars 3. I was at their press release at the Auto Show, Interviewed the Filmmakers, and visited their display at the Auto Show.
