GraceConnect E-News, No. 1, Week of June 17, 2013
The eNewsletter for the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches
"A letter from home" -- that's what people used to say about the Brethren Missionary Herald magazine, a predecessor publication to GraceConnect.

That's how we envision this weekly newsletter -- a regular letter with news and information about the family of believers that is the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches.

In this first issue, we'll explore what the term "grace" means to you, you'll learn about a ministry in the heart of urban Washington, D.C.; and catch up on news from around the Fellowship. See what's happening in the FGBC this week (or next) and take a moment to pray for those events. Don't hesitate to claim your free gift -- a copy of Tom Julien's
The Three Princes, which is available as a free download only until midnight on June 20.

It’s a term that has been part of life since my early days. I have been part of the “Grace” Brethren fellowship since I was born. I went to “Grace” College. I even memorized the acrostic for GRACE (God’s Richest at Christ’s Expense). However, I don’t think I completely understood its complete manifestation until I the day I forgot to make sure the right program was loaded on a computer.

From the Blog:

Steadfast Love

Pastor Stephen Joyce of About My Father’s Business Outreach Ministries, a Grace Brethren church in Washington D.C., once received a call from a radio station asking, “Are you the church always out working with the homeless?”

Ask someone on the street in Washington, D.C., if they’ve heard of About My Father’s Business, and chances are the answer will be yes. There isn’t an ethnic group, social group, or age group the church hasn’t ministered to in some way. Pastor Joyce says that he’s frequently asked, “How did you get in there to do ministry?”

His answer?

“They asked us to come.”

Pastor Rob and Cristy Barlow, Dublin, OhioRob Barlow was installed as lead pastor at Northwest Chapel, a Grace Brethren church in Dublin, Ohio, on March 24. (Rob and his wife, Cristy, are in the photo at left.)
He previously served on staff at the Grace Brethren Church in Ashland, Ohio (Dan Allan, pastor), a total of 20 years, first as youth pastor and then as assistant pastor. He also previously served as youth pastor at the Grace Brethren Church in Waterloo, Iowa.
Pray for Rob and his wife, Cristy, as they transition to a new ministry. “Our top prayer request is that God would bless us with unity between our staff and elders as we establish love and trust,” he says.

This month's free e-book:

The Three Princes

By Tom Julien

We're offering ebook copies of "The Three Princes" for FREE until Thursday at midnight! Grab your copy before time runs out!

“This book really helped me to recognize how and why the spiritual realm has power to influence the human realm.”

“It will change the way you see experiences and people for the rest of your life if you let it.”

We hope those two comments from reviewers will whet your appetite for The Three Princes, an important book about spiritual warfare that was first released in 2012 as a paperback.

Missionary statesman Tom Julien discusses the three princes
–Adam, Satan, and Jesus Christ–who have exercised authority over the earth. This supreme drama finds its climax and triumph in the story of the redemption of mankind by the third Prince, Jesus Christ.

Now available in digital format for Kindle, Nook, ePub, and Kobo, you may download it for free for a limited time. Click here to claim your copy.
