For Reflection:
Before moving onto Mission #4, take a moment to reflect on yesterday’s mission. How does it feel to take a stand in your community about what you care about the most? How did this mission impact your actions with others throughout the day? If you haven't done so, report your experiences for Mission #3 on the Compassion Report Map!

Today’s final mission, Agents, focuses on where we are, right now - in all of its struggle as well as its beauty - and where we choose to go.

Our mission is to more fully live into what Dr. King called Beloved Community.

Dr. King’s Beloved Community is a global vision in which all people can share in the wealth of the Earth. In the Beloved Community, poverty, hunger and homelessness will not be tolerated. Love and trust will triumph over fear and hatred.

Can you think of the people or places that allow you to feel totally welcome, accepted, and safe? Beloved Communities can exists between you and a loved one, or it can be a place like a school, coffee shop, or bookstore where there is that extra something that makes you feel like you belong there.

Today’s mission is about honoring the people and places where Beloved Communities exist and thrive in our lives, and it is also about a commitment to bring more Beloved Community into the world!

Here is how it works:

  1. Identify the people and places where Beloved Community thrives in your life!
  2. Print this Beloved Community card (or you can make your own).
  3. Gift the Beloved Community Card as a way to say thank you to the people and places in your life where you feel safe, welcome, and accepted!
  4. Commit yourself to carry the spirit of Beloved Community within you wherever you go by connecting with others in a way that helps them feel accepted and understood.
Agents, remember... As you fulfill your mission, share your experiences on the Compassion Report Map! Your report inspires others, amplifying the power of your compassion and generosity!
