16TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL MOTHER ROAD FESTIVAL

REMINDER - Over 1,000 cool cars and 80,000 spectators will roll into the heart of Springfield's historic downtown September 22-24 for a weekend of family fun in the sun and non-stop live music and entertainment! Mark Your Calendars: 2017 Route 66 Miles of Possibility Conference
Oct 19-21 in Joliet, Illinois!
 

The Illinois Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor is proud to present the 3rd Annual Route 66 Miles of Possibility Conference that will be held in Joliet, Illinois, on Thursday-Saturday, October 19-21, 2017. The primary venue for the conference is the Joliet Area Historical Museum & Route 66 Welcome Center in Downtown Joliet.

The Miles of Possibility Conference offers high-level, detailed coverage of the key issues, strategies, challenges, tools, and opportunities facing Route 66 municipalities, counties, and businesses. The conference focuses on historic preservation, economic development, history, and marketing with practical solutions presented by an outstanding line-up of nationally known experts on Route 66.

Conference attendees that arrive on Thursday, October 19th will have the opportunity to take a historic tour along Route 66 leaving the Joliet Area Historical Museum at 8:00AM, visiting locations such as the Collins Street Prison, Joliet Union Station, Gemini Giant, Two Cell Jail, Streetcar Diner and more. Thursday night includes a  Blues Brothers Celebration for conference attendees, featuring the bands Strung Out and the Blooze Brothers at The Forge. One ticket to this event is included with your conference registration. This event is open to the public, a link to purchase tickets is availabe on the entertainment page.

Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st feature sessions that include presentations, panel discussions, and workshops.  Friday evening our Rockabilly Festival will featue The Road Crew – America’s Route 66 Band as they take the stage at the Rialto Square Theatre.  One ticket to this event will be included with your conference registration.
