ISW brought around 200 young people to Cagliari
TDM 2000 INTERNATIONAL INVITES
In the beginning of August "Associazione TDM 2000" implemented "International Summer Week" (ISW) which gathered around 200 people in Cagliari. Participants enjoyed great week when they got to know Italian culture, historical heritage, amazing cuisine and of course Sardinian nature. Moreover they got to experience multicultural living and environment.
Overcoming obstacles of Active Youth Participation
In June "Twelve" participated in the seminar "Spring of Democracy - Managing Active Youth Participation" organised by the "German-Polish Kompetenzteam". There was a platform to discuss the theme of Active Youth Participation, to exchange and experience different concepts of democracy, to discuss and reflect about obstacles in decision-making processes and how young people can overcome them.
Erasmus+ will offer a lot of opportunities
Erasmus+ is the new EU programme for education, training, youth and sport proposed by the European Commission. The proposal is now under discussion by the Council and the European Parliament who will take the financial decision. The programme will increase efficiency, make it easier to apply for grants, as well as reducing duplication and fragmentation. It is due to start in 2014 till 2020. The overall budget is 19 billions of euros, 5 millions mobility opportunities.
The first Albanian project of Europe for Citizens
The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has approved the first Albanian project under Europe for Citizens Programme Action 2 - Active Civil Society in Europe. This is our Albanian member - "Beyond Barriers". The project entitled "Active European Citizenship for Democracy and Participation: Bridging EU and Western Balkans" is a joint activity NGOs from Albania, Poland, Germany, UK, Serbia and Macedonia.

Millions of people benefited from EU
Released figures reveal that more than 3 million students have benefited from EU Erasmus grants since the exchange scheme's launch in 1987. The statistics, covering the 2011-2012 academic year, also show that the programme enabled more than 250 000 Erasmus students – a new record – to spend part of their higher education studies abroad or to take up a job placement with a foreign company to boost their employ-ability.
Forum which will help to prepare for the future
Forum 2013 – Working together for reforms – will take place 16-17 October. The Education, Training and Youth Forum aims to gather various stakeholders once per year in order to discuss key policy developments linked to the Europe 2020 strategy, cooperation in Education and Training and the European Youth strategy. The 2013 Forum will be an opportunity to involve a broad range of stakeholders in discussing the new opportunities offered by Erasmus+, the new funding programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport for 2014-2020 to support partnerships for reforms in the fields of education, training and youth.
Traineeship in European Commission
A paid traineeship of 5 months with the European Commission (or some executive bodies and agencies of the European Institutions like, for instance, the European External Action Service or Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation) starting on either 1st of March or 1st of October. Trainees work all over the European Commission. The content of a job largely depends on the service you are assigned to. You may work on a field of competition law, human resources, environmental policy.
