Downspout Nozzles

Downspout Nozzles for roof drains divert water away from the building wall to prevent unsightly water stains. They are constructed of cast nickel-bronze and are stocked in both FIP and No-Thread options in 3”, 4”, 6” & 8” sizes. Bird Protection Screens for each size are also available and are sold separately from the Nozzles. Click on the image to be directed to the product on our website for additional details and to purchase.

The SNOUT® is part of an affordable stormwater quality improvement system. This hooded outlet cover converts any sumped stormwater structure into an oil/debris/water separator.

A Snout in a Detention Pond Application

The hood is installed over the outlet pipe of a catch basin or other stormwater quality structure that contains a deep sump. The SNOUT® can greatly reduce floatable trash and debris, free oils, & other solids from stormwater discharge.

A Snout At Work In a Curb Collection Structure

How it works:

The SNOUT® forms a baffle in the structure which collects floatable debris and free oils on the surface of the captured stormwater, while permitting heavier solids to sink to the bottom of the sump.

As you can see, the resultant discharge contains considerably less trash and other gross pollutants and a reduction of free-oils and finer solids.
Snouts are available from Drainage Solutions Inc. for both flat (rectangular) and round structures in 12” up to 96” sizes.

Catch Basins are ideal for collecting surface water in yards and landscape areas.  The grate on top provides a front line of filtration against large debris entering drainage & stormwater systems. NDS Catch Basins have a sump that collects smaller debris to prevent clogging of the pipeline.

That's why she’s asking for help to feed the 400 Boone County families they serve every month. Individuals receiving assistance range from the very young to the elderly.
