It's Spring! Come Volunteer in Styuyvesant Cove Park

Lately it seems like spring takes forever to come and only lasts for the blink of an eye, but nevertheless: Spring is here, and it's the perfect time to come to Stuyvesant Cove Park, learn about our native food forest and get your hands dirty weeding, planting, watering and...did we mention weeding?
Community Volunteer events are held on the last Saturday of the month from now through October. Tasks are available for all ages, and we'll feed you pizza at the end. Water bottles, closed toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are all highly recommended- light rain is actually great weather for gardening.
The next event will be held on May 25th, and you can email Park Manager Emily Curtis-Murphy for more information and to be added to the Park volunteer list, or to arrange a corporate or service learning volunteer event. We look forward to seeing you in the Park!
