December 2020 Update
We are praising the Lord for an exciting month in the ministry! It has been encouraging to get back into the work after many months of government- mandated restrictions. We are trusting the Lord to help us as we resume full-time church work and evangelism in the new year. Please pray for our churches as we prepare for Christmas outreaches to restart the gospel work in Kathmandu.
We had a great month at Camp Refuge with a men’s retreat for our own ministry and a youth conference for another ministry. It was great to see many friends for the first time in several months and to make new friends as we worshiped God and grew in His word together. We trust God will continue to use this camp for His glory in the months and years ahead. Pray for the two events that are planned in December and for the meetings that will take place in the beginning of 2021.
This past month, Akash, RamKumar and I went on an evangelistic trip to the Magadhi villages in the Tarai region of Nepal. Our hope is to start churches in this area where there is very little gospel witness. This is the second trip I have made to survey the villages and meet with the contacts we have there. We were able to meet with several believers and enjoyed encouraging them in the Lord. One woman, who I baptized last year, received the first Magadhi translation of Romans 1-8 that RamKumar and I worked on during lockdown. This will be the first time she has read the Bible in her own language! Pray with us as there is still much more work to be done throughout the regions of Nepal.
