November 2020 Update
With the lockdowns behind us and our furlough coming up very soon, we are planning some very busy months through the new year. I would like to ask you to pray for us as we work to get everything going again. I am also getting Akash and Akash ready to take over the responsibilities of the churches at the same time. We need wisdom and many open doors. Most importantly, we need loosened government restrictions. Pray with us that God will make our time until furlough (May 2021) profitable for His honor and glory.
Upcoming plans and events:
Men’s Prayer Conference-
Next week, we will finally have another event at Camp Refuge! The men from our ministries will meet together with brothers from three other churches for a 3 day conference. We anticipating a time of fellowship and prayer, but most importantly, we are praying for a time of renewing as we leave behind this difficult season for Nepal. Pray that God would use this time to work in hearts to prepare His servants for His work.
Magadhi Village Trip-
At the end of November, I will be taking a trip to visit some of our believing brothers and sisters who live in the Magadhi villages of Nepal. I am hoping that this will be a time of growth for my Magadhi language and an opportunity to encourage these believers during this trying time. I also plan to meet with some who have shown interest in the gospel. I am looking forward to the chance to witness to them of the wornderful peace and salvation found only in Christ.
Nepali Village Trip-
Also, in December, our family will be taking a trip to visit some of our members who have transitioned back to the village because of the lockdowns in Kathmandu. We are going to miss them very much, but we can already see how the Lord has been working though their lives in their family and village. Please pray for our time with them and their ongoing gospel witness in their community.
