Our first month back in Nepal proved to be a very busy time for our family and the ministry God has given us. Our oldest daughter, Jolynn had to have her first surgery. She had a polyp removed from her nose. We praise the Lord all went smoothly and she has been doing great since. Our youngest, Margaret had her third birthday in May as well! It was such a joy to celebrate her with our friends here in Nepal.
The ministry was equally busy with special days, goodbyes and evangelism. We started the month with Mother’s Day. It was a wonderful opportunity to honor the moms in our church with a gift and a challenge from God’s Word. We ended the month with an evangelistic service where we had many visitors come to Magadhi Baptist Church for the first time. I preached out of 1 John 1 that those who have fellowship with God can clearly see sin in their life as God’s Light reveals all things. It is a very common belief in Hinduism that men are with out sin. Pray with us that the God’s Word will not return void but that those who heard the gospel would repent of their sins and turn to Christ.
The hardest part of the month by far was saying goodbye to Akash, the first convert in the ministry here 5 years ago. He has gone to Australia for college and work and has left a great void in our leadership team. Pray for him as he is looking for a church to serve in Sydney and pray for Beginnings Baptist Church as we look for more men, women, and families to disciple and train for the glory of God!
