I love to hear stories of how people find the Pathwork and how our communities get started. In terms of sustaining Pathwork into the future, I think these stories of our history are important. The origins of Pathwork Ottawa probably began as many do – through a connection with someone who had already found The Lectures, or for some, randomly coming across a book and then looking to find deeper engagement.
Our community began in the late 1980’s with just a couple of people who found the lectures, dove into the programs, and felt a call to share the richness of the Pathwork process with others. Perhaps some of you will remember their names – Roddy Duchene, Louise Stevenson, Blanche Brown, Doreen Lint. I don’t remember the specifics of how each of those individuals came to the Path, but for me it was through Sagewalker and Barry Walker who were working intermittently in Ottawa, as psychotherapists, and also at the time, training as Pathwork Helpers.
