Course walking tips and new courses

It's our first birthday!

A huge thank you to all riders, coaches, friends, officials and editors for your enthusiastic support, ideas and encouragement over the past year

We advise users to delay upgrading to iOS6 if you plan to use CrossCountry over the next few weeks.

The new Apple operating system is out on Wednesday, but we recommend you wait until the new release 1.3 of CrossCountry for iOS6 is in the App Store in October before upgrading.
You will be the first to know when 1.3 is in the App Store. CrossCountry 1.3 has an exciting new capability developed for the Australian Olympic team and has improved satellite maps from Apple.

We are working hard to get the new release out but will not compromise on testing.

CrossCountry used at the Olympics!!

Australia, Ireland and Belgium all used CrossCountry at Greenwich.
Belgian Coach Eric Smiley's course is in our library Eric told us “Visualisation is a key part of riders going well cross country, so to have seen the course many times can only improve their familiarity with its questions ..."  More from team coaches Ginny Elliot and Prue Barrett

We proudly developed a special version for the Australian Olympic Team.

Course Walking Tips

You can add voice memos to your coures. Record instructions from your coach as you walk the course to replay later or create a guided course walk

Landscape or portrait photos?

Landscape photos make fuller use of the screen so you can swipe through without double tapping to enlarge each one. Portrait is good for skinnies or to include more of the approach.

Keep your battery charged

It's not always easy to recharge your phone at an event. We use a Mophie battery life extender. If your battery gets low you simply flick a switch and keep on walking.  It fits on your iPhone as a case or plugs into your iPad.  Very neat and good looking but not cheap.
There are many more on the market. If you can recommend others please let us know

Don't forget to send us your courses!

Here's how
Thank you :)
