Beginnings with No Endings: Hope and Optimism

Guidelines and Submission Information

JAI is hosting our second virtual exhibition open to all members who have paid their 2021 dues. If you have questions about your membership status and eligibility email us here

You are invited to submit entries for a juried exhibition seeking artworks that explore the energy of hope (tikvah in Hebrew) and optimism as a motivating force. The exhibition theme seeks to build upon the tenets of our forebearers who teach that we have opportunities to do good, do better and make change for the greater good.

Submitted artworks should reflect visual responses to the existential concepts of hope (tikvah) and optimism as inspired by faith and human capabilities, action, and imagination. Please address the theme of hope in your submission either personally, Jewishly, or societally.

Important Dates:

  • Submissions accepted on EntryThingy: May 5 –  EXTENDED TO JUNE 6TH
  • Artist notifications: June 15, 2021
  • Virtual Exhibition dates and reception events: July 2021

This exhibition is a juried project and will be shown on a virtual gallery platform. We are using EntryThingy.com for submissions. The submit artwork button below will take you to the JAI website for more information including the exhibition guidelines.
