Join the Jewish Artists Initiative (JAI) for a virtual studio visit and conversation about art with member L. Aviva Diamond

Diamond's art encompasses both the urban and natural landscapes using photography to explore energy, light, and movement. Her most recent work explores cosmic connections - delving into the nature of water and light. Diamond often finds wonder and mystery in the reflective surface of the water and the distortion of ripples. She sees the universe as a wave or the interconnectedness from a wet leaf to the night sky. She uses digital techniques to blur photography and painting, matter and spirit.

L. Aviva Diamond, Tiny Immensity #32, "Celestial Squash/ Staring into Space in the Time of Covid," 2020

Griffin Museum of Photography explained Diamond's work:

"Viewing the natural world and its tiny universes can lead to galactic ideas and visions. L. Aviva Diamond captures light and movement in visions that seem galactic in scale, yet look at small surroundings. Her connection to the landscape crafts celestial visions."
